D&K carried out the 6 Facet Survey of Southampton University Hospitals in 2008 and subsequent updates to ensure data remains current. The estate includes Southampton General Hospital, the Princess Anne Hospital and Countess Mountbatten House along with other University buildings.

The surveys include Condition, Statutory Compliance, Function, Space and Quality assessments of all departments together with assisting with the completion of the NHS Environmental Assessments.

The hospital provides local services to some 500,000 people living in Southampton and South West Hampshire; and specialist services such as neurosciences, cardiac services and children's intensive care to more than 3 million people in central southern England and the Channel Islands.

The hospital is a major centre for teaching and research in association with the University of Southampton and partners including the Medical Research Council, Wellcome Trust and Cancer Research Campaign.
