Market Leading Condition Surveys

Drake and Kannemeyer conceived the idea of Condition Surveys for Public Sector estates, carrying out surveys of the health estate and a pilot survey of 8 UK Universities. In 1992, their joint venture company KDK carried out the survey of all UK Universities comprising 13 million square metres of estates in a 4-month contract.

To date, the practice has appraised over one quarter of the entire hospital stock in England and Wales, in excess of 120 Universities and also a number of historic buildings such as The Tower of London and the Royal Maritime Museum. We have also surveyed the Government's Science Estate on a number of occasions across the whole of the country. In the last year our larger surveys have been The University of Leeds, Brunel University, Kent & Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust, The National Archives, Kew Gardens, Kent & Meway Towns Fire Authority and the STFC Physics Estate.
